Overview

This six-day Uganda adventure blends unforgettable gorilla trekking with classic wildlife safari experiences. In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you’ll track mountain gorillas and enjoy a cultural village walk to learn how nearby communities live. The journey continues through the scenic Kigezi Hills to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest lake, where you can swim, canoe, and fish, with a stopover in Kabale. You’ll then explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its abundant wildlife, birds, primates, crater lakes, and the Kazinga Channel, enjoying both a game drive and a boat cruise for close-up sightings. The trip concludes with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains as you return to Kampala via Fort Portal.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Take the rest of the day is for you to relax and prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and villages along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and relax.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking adventure. Led by experienced guides, you will hike through the forest to find gorilla families. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for relaxation and reflection on the experience.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting elephants, lions and antelopes. Check in to your lodge in the evening.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start the day with a morning game drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring the savannah and searching for wildlife. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Return

After breakfast, you will drive back to Entebbe, enjoying the scenic journey through Uganda’s countryside. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for shopping or a short city tour. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
